Studio Art - Associate in Arts
The Visual Arts curriculum parallels the foundational courses in other art colleges and/or art programs in four-year Universities. If the program is completed as specified, the General Education courses will transfer to all Kansas Regents universities as a block. Art majors are required to maintain a portfolio.
Curriculum pathway leading to an Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts & Sciences for students transferring into any of the following 4-year University or College programs:
BFA in Studio Art
BA in Studio Art
BS in Art Ed
BFA in Art Ed
Since the transferability of courses will vary depending on the specific four-year institution, it is strongly recommended that if students are intending to transfer to a four-year institution, they must consult with the transfer institution and with their respective KCKCC advisor before enrolling in order to determine the transferability of their courses. It is the student's responsibility to follow the transfer requirements established by his/her transfer institution.
A limited number of talent grants are available to qualified students. Individuals with experience in painting drawing, sculpture, or other visual media should apply directly to the art faculty at 913-288-7235.
