Continuing Education and Community Services is committed to providing programs that serve the diverse needs of the greater Kansas City area.

We offer a wide range of programs that include specialized career and technical education, professional and corporate development, adult education and GED preparation, youth activities, community education, and more. Adult Education Program I GED/ ESL/ AO-K

KCKCC's Adult Education Program is designed to help adults meet their educational goals while improving academic skills. There are four components: Pre-GED, GED, College Preparation, and English as a Second Language (ESL). Each component is customized to meet students' needs and increase employment skills in preparation for a future career.

Career Certificate Programs

Career Certificate Programs are short-term courses designed to prepare individuals to receive certificate needed for licensing. These programs currently include: Activity Director, Social Service Designee, Pre- and Post- Real Estate Licensure, Medical Coding, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Technical, Appraisal Pre-Licensure, Home Inspection, and EKG Technician. Various online certificates are available through Gatlin Educational Services.

Community Education Non-Credit Programs

Community Education classes and workshops are designed for individuals with special interests. Options include programs in the area of driver safety (both vehicle and motorcycle), personal wellness, hobbies, musics, business, finance, and personal growth.

These programs are open to people ages 17 and older (unless otherwise specified). Class offerings are updated regularly on the Continuing Education Calendar, and individuals are encouraged to make requests or suggestions for program ideas.

The VIP Club

The VIP club (replacing the Prime Time Club) is designed to provide citizens of Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties ages 18+ with a variety of free and low cost activities. These activities include cultural events, special trips, informational seminars, and academic and leisure opportunities. Contact 913-288-7660 for membership information.

Student Interns

Continuing Education and Community Services is proud to host a student internship program. Student interns work across campus in varying departments, creating and executing proiects to gain career experience and life skills.
