KCKCC Hosts Student Achievement Webinars for Faculty/Staff

As a way to address areas of the Kansas City Kansas Community College Strategic Plan and to improve student success and academic achievement, several webinars have been scheduled for faculty and staff to attend.

These webinars offer an opportunity to learn about current trends and practices in the area of developmental education at various community colleges. Those who are interested can attend one or all of the webinars at no cost. In addition, if there are schedule conflicts, additional dates have been scheduled in the coming weeks.

Driving Student Success: Using Holistic Assessment to Improve Retention and Completion Rates.
Host: Innovative Educators via KCKCC Developmental Education
Date and Time: 10 to 11 a.m. March 20 in Room 3632 Flint
Repeated Date and Time: noon to 1:30 p.m. April 24. Followed by a discussion session.

Developmental Education Redesign & Its Impact on Advising: How to Build an Efficient Model for Success
Host: Innovative Educators via KCKCC Developmental Education
Date and Time: noon to 1:30 p.m. March 20 in Room 3632 Flint. Followed by a discussion session.
Repeated Date and Time: noon to 1:30 p.m. April 23. Followed by a discussion session.

How to Retain First-Year Students: Helping Them Navigate Emotional, Motivational & Social Challenges
Host: Innovative Educators via KCKCC Developmental Education
Date and Time: 2 to 3:30 p.m. March 27 in Room 3632 Flint. Followed by a discussion.
Repeated Date and Time: To be announced

Developmental Education Redesign: How to Strengthen Students’ Core Academic Skills & Lessen Time to Degree Completion
Host: Innovative Educators via KCKCC Developmental Education
Date and Time: noon to 1:30 p.m. April 4 in Room 3252, Executive Board Room. Followed by a discussion session.
Repeated Date and Time: To be announced

Reservations are requested, but not required. Feel free to bring a lunch to any of the sessions.
