KCKCC Awarded $2.9 Million Career Training Grant

One of the all-time horror classics, “Dracula,” will be brought to the stage at Kansas City Kansas Community College Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 11-14.
A KCKCC Drama Club performance directed by Robert Sampson, curtain times will be at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday with a Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
A new adaption by Steven Dietz based on the novel by Bram Stoker, the suspense and seduction of Stoker’s classic is restored to KCKCC’s Performing Arts Center.
“As Count Dracula begins to exert his will upon the residents of London, they try to piece together the clues of his appearances in a valiant attempt to save themselves from a hideous fate,” said Dr. Charles Leader, KCKCC Director of Theatre Rich with both humor and horror, the play paints a wickedly theatrical picture of Stoker’s famous vampire.
Sam Sentma is cast in the role of Dracula. Other cast members include Lakendrick Owens. Chris Benson, Nathan Mortensen, Thomas Bartley Megan Shaw, Nicole Theno, Ashley Triplett, Charles Humphrey and Thomas Crowder.
