Ever wonder how successful entrepreneurs in Kansas City got their start? Want to know how those same business strategies can be implemented? Those answers and more can be found when Kansas City Kansas Community College’s Business Solutions Series 2013 continues with “Entrepreneur Spotlight.”
The breakfast event is from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 20 in Upper Jewell on the KCKCC campus, 7250 State Ave. The fee is $10, which includes breakfast and coffee. The series is sponsored by KCKCC, the Leavenworth County Development Corp. Port Authority, The Unified Government, the Wyandotte Economic Development Council, the Kansas City Kansas Chamber of Commerce and the Kansas Black Chamber of Commerce.
“We are excited to have such successful and local entrepreneurs as part of our Spotlight series,” said Marvin Hunt, dean of business and community education. “They will share their valuable experiences, which will help our participants who are starting businesses.”
With the Kauffman Foundation’s assistance, five of Kansas City’s business and entrepreneurship leaders will be in attendance. The panel consists of Claude Aldridge, co-founder of Trellie; Laura Lee Jones, CEO of Lion Share Marketing; Thad Langford, co-founder of Black Ops Development; Stuart Ludlow, co-founder of RFP365 and Danny O’Neill, founder and CEO of The Roasterie.
The CEO’s and founders of each company will share the story of their journey on the way to finding business success. There will also be time for questions and answers as well as the opportunity to meet each entrepreneur during the included breakfast.
This is the third of a four-part business series. The focus of the last event will be “Blogging as a Marketing Technique.” During the Dec. 10 session, individuals will learn how blogging can be used as a low-cost, high-return marketing tool.
