The last day of classes at Kansas City Kansas Community College is Wednesday and Student Senate wants to help students get ready for finals with a hearty breakfast.

The Student Senate Finals Pancake Breakfast is 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 in the deli area of Lower Jewell. The all-you-can eat breakfast is $2, so students should be sure to save their plate to eat as many pancakes as they want. The price includes sausage and juice, and Chris Cakes will be served.

Linda Sutton, student activities director at KCKCC, said this is the ninth year for the breakfast. She said on average, between 250 and 300 students attend every year.

“It’s held on the last day of classes to celebrate the end of the fall semester,” she said. “We want to wish students the best as they begin their final exams.”

Sutton said pancakes are made continuously throughout the morning so that everyone can be served.

“Because it’s all you can eat, they make well over 1,000 pancakes,” she said. “The pancakes are made fresh and hot right in front of you. If you are returning for seconds, save your plate to return thru the line at no additional cost.”
