KCKCC Parent Council (Special Interest Group)

The mission of the KCKCC Parent Council is to provide parents and family members an opportunity to play an active role in the education of their college student. The KCKCC Parent Council fosters communication between the College and current parents in order to provide an enriching undergraduate college experience for both students and their parents. There is no cost to become a Parent Council member.

The goals of the KCKCC Parent Council are to keep parents and families informed about College services, resources, activities, parent involvement opportunities, and educate parents and families about healthy college student development and issues their students may encounter during their college years. KCKCC Parent Council members will receive updates via email and the KCKCC Parent Connection e-newsletter. We invite members to be active on the KCKCC Student Senate Facebook page, and encourage members to share ideas on how to create engaging activities for students who attend KCKCC.

This voluntary membership is to assist parents to use their talents to help motivate and encourage students throughout the year.  Parents are encouraged to meet via Skype, FaceTime, and conference call or meet in together in person to implement activities for students. The Director of Student Activities will act as the Liaison for the parents and provide assistance as needed.
