Increase recruitment efforts for a strategically targeted group of potential students

Goal 1.1

Raise the number of new admission applications from age group of 30 or older 

Strategies

  • Develop cohesive and consistent recruiting messages (i.e. lower cost, highly quality instructions, highlighted programs, small class size, scholarships and financial aids, convenient location, better employment and higher income opportunities, ROI, etc.)
  • Implement direct marketing (phone calls, text messages)
  • Increase the number of off-campus recruiting events

  • Number of new admission application from age group of 30 or older

Goal 1.2

Increase the number of dual and concurrent high school students enrolled at KCKCC 

Strategies

  • Lower tuition for high school students
  • Increase tours going through main campus and TEC
  • Strengthen recruiting efforts at Pioneer Center / Leavenworth
  • Identify why dual enrolled students choose not to enroll at KCKCC upon high school graduation

Measures

  • Number of new admission applications from current high school students
  • Number of dual and concurrent high school students enrolled at KCKCC

Goal 1.3

Increase the Number of Hispanic Students Enrolled at KCKCC

Strategies

  • Make our college more accessible to Hispanic communities in our service area
  • Strengthen our relationship with the Hispanic community groups
  • Offer scholarships to Hispanic and other underrepresented groups

Measures

  • Number of new admission applications from Hispanic and other underrepresented group of students
  • Number of Hispanic Students Enrolled at KCKCC
  • Total number of applications each academic year/semester
