Alumna is Latin for “female pupil”. Alumnus is Latin for “male pupil”.
Some define “alumni” as those having graduated from a school, college or university.
Kansas City Kansas Community College prefers to define our alumni with the Latin – our “pupils” – or – anyone having been a “pupil”/student at our school.
It is with the Latin in mind, that I congratulate you for having chosen to be a part of this KCKCC educational opportunity. Welcome to the KCKCC Alumni family…
Offering extended educational opportunities in Wyandotte County since 1923, expanding in more recent years to Leavenworth County, one can imagine how many alumni there are currently.
So it is with great pride and enthusiasm that we invite our alumni to become “Founding members” of the KCKCC Alumni Association
There will be no fees or dues initially. As interested parties become identified and organized, plans will be made for the Association to grow and be responsive to our alumni – past, present and future – with social and educational activities, reunions, etc.
Please accept my invitation to once again be an active part of the exceptionally vibrant and colorful environment that is Kansas City Kansas Community College.
