Kansas City Kansas Community College offers the Registered Respiratory Care Therapy Program leading to an Associate in Applied Science Degree. Most of the science and mathematics courses must be completed before acceptance into this program. This outline of courses is for the RRT Accelerated track. There is also a RRT Traditional track which leads to a CRT while working on the RRT requirements. See the program coordinator for details.

General Education Requirements

College Requirement - All first time degree-seeking students who score 75 or above on the ACCUPLACER reading exam are required to take HUDV0100, Freshman Orientation (1 credit hour). All degree-seeking students who score below 75 on the ACCUPLACER reading exam will take HUDV 101, Strategies for Academic Excellence/Lifelong Learning (2 credit hours). (See exemptions)

*RSCR 284 is offered in the 16-week fall and spring semesters only.
**The Bridge Semester is a CRT to RRT program. Bridge students must have completed approved CRT coursework Bridge students from other programs are expected to pass the CRT board exam prior to admission. The college requires 15 credit hours between degrees.
