The Nursing Department is committed to providing a student learning environment that encourages and assesses critical thinking, clinical competence, professional accountability, caring, and effective communication skills for a diverse student population. We believe these attributes will prepare our graduates to pass the RN - NCLEX, and to provide and manage  safe, cost-effective care, utilizing evidence based practice to meet client Needs.  The graduate will be prepared to coordinate, supervise and/or collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary health care team.

Students who need information regarding tuition, fees, and length of the nursing program may contact the Dean of Allied Health/Nursing at the College and/or the Nursing Accrediting Commission at the following address: National League for Nursing Accrediting Council, 61 Broadway, New York, N.Y. 10006. The Accrediting Council's telephone number is (800)-669-1656.

The nursing program is designed to prepare students to function as entry-level registered nurses. Course work is directed toward assisting graduates to pass the National Council of Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. The program is approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Council. Applications are due August 31st for the spring semester and January 31st for the fall semester. For specific criteria and procedures for admission, consult a Counselor in the Counseling Office or Director of Nursing, Anita Krondak.
