Refund Policy
KCKCC will automatically issue a 100% refund if a course is canceled because of insufficient enrollment.
Classes:
Students who officially drop a course before June 2, 2010, can receive 100% refund; a 90% tuition refund during the first 5 days of classes, June 2 through June 9, 2010. There is no refund for course withdrawal after June 9, 2010.
Students must officially drop their classes online using WebAdvisor© or in the Admissions and Records Office.
If the student has received federal Title IV student financial aid during the term (PELL, grant, SEOG, Stafford loan, or a PLUS loan), the student may be entitled to a return of Title IV Funds calculation. Students who do not receive federal Title IV aid are not entitled to these calculations. Further information is available in the Financial Aid Office and Business Office.
Dropping/Withdrawing:
Students wanting to drop a class must do so within the designated refund periods by submitting a withdrawal form. Students may drop online via WebAdvisor© or by completing and add/drop request in writing, by mail or fax to the Main Campus Admissions and Records Office, the Technical Education Center, or the Leavenworth Center.
Students wanting to withdraw a class must do so within the designated withdrawal periods by submitting a withdrawal form or request of withdrawal by mail or fax to the Main Campus Admissions and Records Office, the Technical Education Center, or the Leavenworth Center. Withdrawal does not dismiss the financial obligation for the class(es).
Any student who fails to officially drop or withdraw from a class may receive an “F” and will still be financially responsible for the class. Please refer to the academic calendar contained in this schedule. IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO DROP OR WITHDRAW FROM ANY CLASS.
Students have the option of appealing for a refund for any course. An Appeal Form must be submitted along with supporting documents to the Dean of Enrollment Management/Registrar. Decisions are based upon both the college refund policy and the information provided by the student.
Dropping or withdrawing from classes could affect your Financial Aid. Check with Financial Aid Office for more information.
