Admission Procedures

Acceptance to KCKCC is the first step towards enrolling for classes. To apply for admission to the College follow these steps:

New Students:
  1. Complete and submit an application for admission to the Admissions and Records Office or KCKCC-Leavenworth Center, or online at www.kckcc.edu.
  2. Have official high school and college transcripts sent to the Admissions and Records Office or KCKCC-Leavenworth Center.
  3. Complete the ACCUPLACER placement process, which is given on campus and at KCKCC-Leavenworth Center.

Returning Students:
Students who have not attended KCKCC for one semester or more must update student demographic information for readmission in the Admissions and Records office or Leavenworth Center or online at www.kckcc.edu. Returning students are also responsible for providing the Admissions and Records Office with official transcripts from all colleges they have attended while away from KCKCC.

High School Students:
Students with junior and senior status in high school are eligible to enroll in college courses provided they have approval from the principal and counselor at their high school and ACCUPLACER test scores indicating the student is ready for college-level courses. High school students cannot take courses below the 100 level.

Home Schooled/Non-Accredited High School students:
Students who have graduated from a non-accredited high school or are home schooled will be admitted to the college based on their ACT, SAT, or GED scores and a personal interview with the Assistant Director of Admissions.

International students:
International students applying for an I-20 from KCKCC to obtain an F1 Visa need to complete an international student admission application. They are also required to meet the deadline dates of June 1 for fall admission and October 1 for spring admission.

Visiting international students who hold a valid visa other than F1 will be required to complete an international student admission application, present a current passport and have an I-94 card that is valid through the end of the semester for which they plan to enroll. This admission procedure must be repeated prior to enrollment each semester.
