University Of Kansas

Edwards Campus

The University of Kansas Edwards Campus in Overland Park works closely with KCKCC to offer bachelor degree-completion programs in the evenings for adult learners. These programs allow you to complete an associate’s degree at KCKCC then move onto completing a bachelor’s degree from the KU Edwards Campus in another two years without having to travel to KU’s main campus in Lawrence.

Applications for all Edwards Campus undergraduate completion programs are accepted for spring, summer and fall semesters.

Developmental Psychology (B.A./B.G.S.)
This program will provide you with the knowledge and skills about developmental processes that will directly apply to a wide range of careers, such as child care, education, nursing or other health services related to pediatric or gerontologic populations. This program can also prepare you for graduate study in the behavioral sciences, nursing, education and gerontology.

Literature, Language & Writing (B.A./B.G.S.)

In today’s rapidly changing work environment employers are seeking people who can deal with concepts and abstractions, who are imaginative and creative, and who have good communication and people skills. A degree in English will help you develop these skills and it is good preparation for a variety of advanced professional degrees in areas such as business and law.

Molecular Biosciences (B.S.)

There is an increasing demand for well-trained molecular bioscientists in academic and industrial research laboratories as well as criminology, industrial production, genetic testing and clinical laboratories. The molecular biosciences degree will give you a solid background in genetics, microbiology, cell biology and biochemistry, as well as laboratory skills in genetics and microbiology. This program can also prepare you for graduate or health-related professional schools.

Public Administration (B.A./B.G.S.)

This program is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills for planning, implementing and evaluating public programs. You will be able to work in settings such as local and state government, nonprofit organizations and private sector businesses. Your knowledge will help organizations be more effectively prepared to deal with local and global diversity.

For more information about these programs, contact Dan Mueller, undergraduate advisor, at (913) 897-8659, dmueller@ku.edu or visit the Edwards Campus Web site at edwardscampus.ku.edu.

Social Work (B.S.W.) - 2 2 PROGRAM
The 2 2 BSW is a KU degree-completion program offered entirely on the Kansas City Kansas Community College campus. This entry-level professional degree will prepare you for work in public or private social agencies, such as hospitals or in other supervised health care settings. Many BSW students pursue the Master of Social Work after some experience in the field.
