Writing & Reading Center
The Writing Lab is available to KCKCC students who are enrolled in any course that requires writing assignments. The lab is staffed by Professional Tutors who are also adjunct faculty members. The tutors will assist with any part of the writing process. That includes, but is not limited to essay writing, rewrites, formatting for APA an MLA guidelines, guidance in securing research information, correct grammar and punctuation, etc. The lab is setup on a walk-in basis, and the hours vary each semester according to demand and the availability of tutors. The Reading Lab is designed to assist students who are currently enrolled in reading courses; however, the lab is also available to students who wish to improve their reading comprehension skills. Students who have difficulty understanding course terminology may also receive tutoring. The lab is setup on a walk-in basis and is staffed by Professional Tutors.
