Tech Prep
Through TePCEK, area high school career programs have been articulated with select career programs at KCKCC, allowing high school students the opportunity to earn college credit. The awarding of Articulated Credit for Tech Prep is subject to the Memorandum of Agreement between the high school and KCKCC and the following policies:
- Articulated Credit for Tech Prep applies only to students officially enrolled in a Tech Prep Consortium for Eastern Kansas (TePCEK) Tech Prep program.
- Credit will be applied only for technical courses identified on a Tech Prep Articulated Credit Agreement form.
- A maximum of 12 credit hours will be accepted by KCKCC for Articulated Credit for Tech Prep.
- Credit will be posted after 15 additional hours of KCKCC credit have been successfully completed as stipulated in the Memorandum of Agreement.
- No fee will be assessed for the credit; however, a $25.00 fee will be assessed to cover clerical and maintenance costs associated with preparation of the official transcript.
- Credits may not apply toward the KCKCC residency requirement.
- The KCKCC equivalent course(s) will be posted on the transcript as a "P".
