Comprehensive Health Resource Center

A certified registered nurse is on duty from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during the academic year.

The staff can provide over-the-counter medications and first aid for students who get sick or are injured. In the event of a medical emergency or if an ambulance is needed, please contact Campus Police. The Campus Police will then contact the student health staff.

The nurse conducts eye and hearing exams by appointment, and weight checks, blood pressure, and blood glucose screenings on a walk-in basis. HIV testing is provided free twice annually. In addition, the nurse is available as a non-judgmental listener and resource person.

Students who know they will be absent from class(es) two or more consecutive days due to illness or a death in the family can phone the Health Center, and the staff will notify instructors.

Student Health sponsors a variety of health-related seminars throughout the year that are open to students, staff, and the community.
