School Closing Due to Inclement Weather
The responsibility for closing the College is delegated to the President of KCKCC by the Board of Trustees. In the event of the President’s absence, the Provost makes this decision.
Whenever a decision is made to close the College, this information is released to the local radio and television stations for announcement during news periods.
KCKCC is not a part of District 500, so if schools in Wyandotte County are closed, the College does not necessarily cancel classes. When the College remains open during inclement weather, students should take reasonable care in coming to the campus to attend regularly scheduled classes.
