Schlagle Scholarships
There are a number of these scholarships available. This scholarship covers
a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 15 credit hours of tuition, fees, and required
course books per semester. This scholarship does not cover supplies or non-required
books. Qualifying Criteria: (1) Applicant must have an established GPA of 3.0
from High School or College and/or meet established standardized test requirements
(i.e., ACT, ASSET, SAL, GED); (2) Applicant must be a Kansas Resident with preference
to Wyandotte/Leavenworth County students. This scholarship pays for In-State
tuition only; (3) Applicant must have no more than $1,000-$1,050 PELL Eligibility
based on full-time status and accept NO OTHER gift aid [i.e., scholarship, tuition
reimbursement, etc.]; (4) Applicant must be enrolled in a Degree/Certificate
program at KCKCC. The Frank & Doris scholarship is renewable. In order to renew,
recipient must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA, must have completed 100% of classes
paid for by this scholarship, and must have completed a Free Application for
Federal Student Aid and have no more than $1,000-$1,050 in Pell Eligibility
per semester based on full-time status. Applicant cannot be receiving any
other free gift aid [i.e., tuition reimbursement, other scholarships, etc.]
Application process: Complete and return/file (1) application for Admission
to Admissions Office, (2) Complete the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid to the Financial Aid Office (FAFSA) (3) scholarship application--return
to the Financial Aid Office with all necessary transcripts attached to be forwarded
to the Endowment Association.
