Community Outreach Programs/Women's Resource Center

The Community Outreach Counseling Program assists adults in transition, whether they are single parents, displaced homemakers, recent GED graduates, or mid-life career changers.

Services include personal counseling, vocational exploration, educational advising, information on nontraditional career fields, student support groups, and referral to appropriate campus/community resources.

As part of the Community Outreach Counseling Program, the Women’s Resource Center is designed to respond to the concerns and interests of women at the College and in surrounding communities.

The Women’s Resource Center has a library containing a diverse collection of written and audio-visual materials on topics ranging from career to personal growth and development issues. Materials are available for student and community member use at no charge.

Other Women’s Resource Center services include: monthly presentations (Brown Bag sessions), publication of a monthly newsletter, career and academic advising, and a clothing bank and student food pantry.
