An Associate in Applied Science Degree requires satisfactory completion of a minimum of 60 credit hours and a C (2.00) cumulative grade-point average. Students must:
College Requirement: All first time degree-seeking students who score 75 or above on the ACCUPLACER reading exam are required to take HUDV0100, Freshman Orientation. All degree-seeking students who score below 75 on the ACCUPLACER reading exam will take HUDV 101, Strategies for Academic Excellence/Lifelong Learning. (See exemptions)
Basic Skills courses, including:
- 6 hours of Composition (in some cases, ENGL0206, Technical Writing may
be substituted for Composition II)
- 3 hours of Public Speaking or Interpersonal Communication
Mathematics courses, including:
- 3 hours of college-level mathematics; math core elective or specific
program requirement.

Performance courses are excluded.
Social and Behavioral Science: a 3 credit-hour course from one of the following disciplines:
- Anthropology
- Economics
- Geography
- Political Science
- Psychology
- Sociology
Natural and Physical Science: a 3 credit-hour course.
Additional credit hours of course work to complete 60-hour degree.
