Postsecondary Students

  • All postsecondary applicants must interview with the TEC Admissions Counselor. They must sit for an entrance exam (ACCUPLACER) to get into any program at the Technical Education Center.
  • Postsecondary students may start most TEC programs quarterly (August, October, January, March, and May/June) on a space available basis. Call 913-627-4100 for specific dates and openings.
  • TEC programs meet Mon.-Fri. from 7:30 am to 2:15 pm (except Cosmetology which meets 7:30 am to 3:00 pm and Early Childhood Education which meets for either a morning or afternoon session). Summer hours are Mon.-Thurs. from 7:30 am to 4:15 pm. The college is closed on Fridays during the summer.
  • Half-time or short-term customized schedules may be arranged in some programs.
