Division of Mathematics, Science & Computer Technology


The Academic Division of Mathematics, Science, and Computer Technology is committed to excellence in all of its science based education courses. Through a supportive learning environment, the mission of the dean, faculty, and staff is to provide our students with programs that range from technical certifications, to associate degrees in Art, Science, General Studies, and Applied Science.

The Academic Division seeks to fulfill its mission by providing:

  • Mathematics, science, and computer technology courses that prepare students for transfer to universities and four-year colleges
  • Programs that provide 2 + 2 articulation agreements with several Kansas and Missouri universities and colleges
  • Curriculum pathways in science that offer students exceptional flexibility in a vast array of career options
  • A well-designed developmental math program that provides students with a strong foundation for success in advanced level mathematics courses
  • Science laboratory classes that offer hands on practical experiences helping students develop competence in usage of the latest materials and methods in numerous fields of study
  • Faculty who enable students to learn practical knowledge, literacy, and hands on application of knowledge
  • Students the fundamentals of qualitative and quantitative analysis in order to better understand how technical knowledge is created
  • A student centered educational environment
