Mission And Purpose Statement

Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department of Kansas City Kansas Community College is dedicated to serve our employees, the community, and the College. We strive constantly for the enhancement of positive human relations within the institution. We are committed to the development of our faculty and staff through education and professional development experiences and to the accomplishment of the College's mission and goals. This commitment is pursued through a focus on evaluation, accountability, and continuous improvement. We solicit ideas, suggestions, and other feedback regarding our policies and practices and encourage the highest level of performance in every employee. Our efforts in Human Resources ultimately are directed to supporting high quality teaching, learning, and human development of our students.

Faculty and Staff Development
The College, through the Office of Faculty & Staff Development, provides a program for professional and personal development for all College employees.

The Intercultural Center
The Intercultural Center promotes multicultural understanding, citizenship, and racial harmony. The Center offers students, faculty, staff, and the community with an enriched environment that celebrates our diverse population and fosters greater interaction, understanding and education. The Center also provides cultural activities and training programs that enhance relationships and campus spirit and serves as a resource repository, providing books, DVDs, and pamphlets about diversity. The Intercultural Center’s mission promotes the recognition that cultural diversity is a positive feature of Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Everyone is welcome to visit and be part of developing an inclusive environment.

The Intercultural Center is a visible and tangible representation of the college’s commitment to “Making Life Better.”
