The KCKCC-Leavenworth Center, an extension site located at 225 Cherokee in downtown Leavenworth, Kansas, offers credit and non-credit classes each semester, giving local residents an alternative to driving to the main campus. The Center has 21 classrooms including science and computer laboratories, a conference room, and a student lounge. Qualified instructors teach many of the same courses that are offered on the main campus.
Classes are offered continuously throughout the year to facilitate completion of an Associate Degree, Certificate, or other education program. In addition to the 16-week semester classes, selected Workforce Development courses are offered at the Center in nontraditional formats, i.e., an 8-week semester or telecourses.
Student services, including academic advising and career guidance, articulation information, admission/enrollment processing, peer tutoring, math/study labs, financial aid, and veterans educational benefits counseling are provided at the Center.
The Center is also available for use by area businesses for training or community organizations for meetings and activities. The Center is a site for Telenet 2, a state-of-the-art video conferencing network delivering university courses to 28 locations throughout Kansas.
