Breaking News!!! POLITICAL EARTHQUAKE as America Speaks
"Democrats did not win this election, the Republicans merely lost the election." Dr. Unoke Prof. of Political Science
- Winners: Morrison wins, Kline out. Kathleen Sebellius re-elected Governor of Kansas State. Democrats win control of Senate and House of Representatives; Nancy Pelossi becomes first woman Speaker of The House of Representatives.
New Comers: Claire McCaskill defeats incumbent, Jim Talent; Bob Gates appointed new Secretary of Defense as Rumsfeld resigns; Joe Lieberman re-elected not as a democrat but as an Independent candidate.
- Fall out of 2006 elections?
Conservative dominance since 26 years and since Reagan era ends. What the American people should expect from a Republican Presidency and a Democratic Congress? Answer: Gridlock or Bi-partisan progress. This is the time for both parties to re-define and re-invent themselves.
- U.S. Troops in Iraq React: They are "shocked" over Rumsfeld's resignation. With Bob Gates as new Secretary of Defense, it is a period of strategic uncertainty. It is not likely that military victory is possible in Iraq. I'd rather advise policy makers to follow the path of diplomatic soldering.
- KCKCC Students Poll on 2008 Elections: Who wins the Presidency in 2008, John or Hillary ?
-
Hillary Clinton, 48%; vs. John McCain 47% "I will vote for McCain because I don't think America is ready for a female President," says an anonymous female student of KCKCC.
"I will vote for Hillary, not because I like her policies, but because she is a female and her victory will open doors for American women," says Jessica Johnson.
Politically Yours,
