The Tutoring Services program at Kansas City Kansas Community College is certified by the College Reading and Learning Association. The Program is composed of the following services:
- Math Tutoring Center that assists students with most math courses offered at KCKCC
- Reading & Writing Center that is staffed by Professional Tutors that provide one-on-one assistance as well as Online Writing Consultations
- Individual/Group Peer Tutoring
Students who are interested in receiving tutoring must come to the Academic Resource Center and request the service or apply for the service online. Each semester, approximately 300-500 currently enrolled KCKCC students self-identify and request tutoring, or are identified by instructors, through the Early Alert Program, as students who could possibly benefit from tutoring.
Spring 2015 Tutoring
Tutoring will begin January 12, 2015 and end on May 13, 2015. Tutoring is provided free of charge to currently enrolled KCKCC students. For math, reading and writing assistance, students are encouraged to utilize the Math Tutoring Center and/or Reading & Writing Center located within the Academic Resource Center (ARC). Individual and Online Tutoring are also available.
