Tutoring Services Program
The Tutoring Services program at Kansas City Kansas Community College is certified by the College Reading and Learning Association. The Program is composed of the following services:
- Walk-in Tutoring for Reading, Writing, Math, or Science. The Tutoring Center is staffed by both faculty and peer tutors.
- Online Writing Consultations
- Individual/Group Peer Tutoring
Students who are interested in receiving tutoring must come to the Academic Resource Center and request the service or apply for the service online. Each semester, approximately 300-500 currently enrolled KCKCC students self-identify and request tutoring, or are identified by instructors, through the Early Alert Program, as students who could possibly benefit from tutoring.
Request Tutoring Form
While classes are in session, tutoring is provided free of charge to currently enrolled KCKCC students. For math, science, reading, and writing assistance, students are encouraged to utilize the walk-in tutoring center located on the first floor of the Learning Commons.
