Our program offers an Associate in Applied Science degree. The curriculum includes the general education requirements necessary for the associate degree and the physical therapist assistant program requirements. Enclosed you will find information pertaining to the Physical Therapist Assistant Program including the procedure and criteria for application to the program. You are encouraged to meet with the Counseling Office 913-288-7696 or the Program Director as soon as possible to obtain proper guidance for the selection of your courses.

The Physical Therapist Assistant is a skilled health care provider working under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist.  Following completion of the program, the student is awarded an Associate of Applied Science Degree.  The PTA program at KCKCC is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association.
