Welcome to the Division of Nursing and Allied Health!

With 5 professionally accredited career programs: Mortuary Science, Paramedic, Physical Therapist Assistant, Registered Nursing and Respiratory Therapy, we offer a diverse grouping of health careers that provide many opportunities for entrance in the health care fields.  In addition, we offer 2 certificate programs, Practical Nursing and certified Medical Assistant, as well as stand-along courses for EMT and C.N.A.

The division has 50 full-time dedicated, credentialed and experienced faculty who work to provide the best learning environment.  The division is pleased with the student’s success on national licensure exams and employers satisfaction of our graduates.

Meet our Faculty

Nursing

Nursing MonitorThe KCKCC Nursing Program is a 2-year program that consists of four semesters (two spring and two fall). Thirty-nine credit hours of general education are also required, either before you start nursing, or while you are in nursing. To be accepted into our program, you must complete your science courses and math, and have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average.

Physical Therapist Assistant

Physical Therapy WeightsThe Physical Therapist Assistant program at KCKCC is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association. Our program offers an Associate in Applied Science degree. The curriculum includes the general education requirements necessary for the associate degree and the physical therapist assistant program requirements.

Smithsonian Channel visits L. Frank Baum's "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," taking viewers through the rich history of both the novels and the subsequent movies.  It has been adapted and re-invented by multiple generations and has inspired the most beloved characters and iconic pair of shoes in pop-culture history. The show includes rare footage, extensive interviews, and archival documents.

 Documentaries will be shown @ 10:00am & Noon
