As a brief overview of our college, I want to highlight some of the benefits of KCKCC and our accomplishments. KCKCC has a faculty made up almost entirely of instructors with doctorates or master's degrees. Our smaller class size also attracts many students, allowing access to our experienced faculty. We also recently completed a merger with our Area Technical Vocational School, now KCKCC Technical Education Center, allowing us to offer more than 50 high-demand career and technical programs that prepare students for the workforce. Several of these programs have first-time exam pass rates that exceed the national board standards in areas such as Nursing, Addiction Counseling, and Mobile Intensive Care Technician.

At KCKCC, students are also prepared to continue with their educational goals through over 45 degree programs, which are easily transferable to four-year colleges and universities. We are proud of our student body and many student accomplishments. The debate team has won seven straight Phi Rho Pi national championships (a head-to-head competition among community colleges nationwide), and our Honors/Phi Theta Kappa chapter annually ranks among the top 25 internationally. The ethnic mix and diverse backgrounds of our students and faculty give our college a global perspective that encourages understanding of cultural differences.

We offer a comprehensive set of services to help you achieve your educational goals. Our Academic Resource Center assists students in strengthening their academic skills so that they can complete their college work successfully. Our Community Outreach Counseling Program/Women's Resource Center provides career and personal development services to the community of adults in transition. Our Student Advising Center assists students with planning and achieving their personal, career, and academic goals. Our Student Activities Office works with students to plan, implement, and evaluate events for the student body that are informational, social, and motivational in nature. And the Financial Aid Office works with federal and state agencies, as well as KCKCC campus departments to help students access funding sources.
